Visitors from Common Ground taught our Pre-K students about the maple sugaring process during their investigation on trees. Look at us learning how to tap a tree!
We loved dressing up as our favorite book characters this year for Read Across America Day! Thank you to all of our special guest readers who helped us to celebrate.
Happy Black History Month! One way we celebrated at Obama was by learning about and appreciating all of the inventions that African-Americans contributed to the world.
Congratulations to all of our award recipients for the third marking period! We are so proud of you!
Our Pre-K students had a fun-filled journey on the trolley to the North Pole. They even met Santa when they arrived. Check out some pictures from our trolley ride.
We want to congratulate all of our scholars who received awards during our Quarter 1 Recognition Ceremony! We value your hard work and dedication. Congratulations!
Thanks to our friends at SCSU who are studying to be educators, our 4th grade students toured Southern's campus. We had a great time riding on the campus shuttile, visiting academic buildings, relaxing in the Reflection Garden, eating donuts at the Student Center, smelling the food in the dining hall, and checking out the books in the Buley Library. Our 4th grade scholars even received their own library cards to borrow books! The trip closed when we came back to BOMUS to receive brand new books for each student to read. We had an amazing experience and look forward to visiting again!
Our 4th grade students are learning about emergency responders. We are excited to have the SCSU Police come to campus to teach our students all about the communication devices used in emergencies. We also had a chance to meet K-9 Brody and learn how he is trained to keep our community safe.
