The School Choice Placement Process
What is it?
The School Choice Placement Process supports the New Haven Public Schools’ School Choice Program. Through an application process families are able to select from neighborhood, magnet, and charter school options that best fit their interests and educational needs! The School Placement Process (formerly called the Lottery) is held once each year, usually at the end of March or the beginning of April. Prior to the lottery, applications become available in February and are due in March. Applications can be received online or in person at the Choice and Enrollment Office located at 54 Meadow Street, New Haven. If you are an out-of-district resident, applications become available in March and are due at the start of April. Applications can be received online at www.aces.org/schools-programs/aces-open-choice.
